Escape The NETHERWORLD Is Reopening!
Escape the Netherworld opens on Friday, June 19th with a few updates and new procedures for your safety and comfort during the global Coronavirus pandemic.
PRIVATE BOOKINGS
At this time, ALL GAMES will be PRIVATE but available at the previous public game price of $28 per person. There is a minimum purchase of four (4) players, but fewer may participate. Your game will be private and only your group will play in the selected game.
All games must be booked online at least two (2) hours prior to the scheduled start time. Please call ahead if you would like to schedule a room inside that booking window. Walk-ins are discouraged; walk-in customers will be accommodated if a private room and game master are available, but can not be guaranteed. Walk-In customers are subject to the same 4-player minimum purchase as online bookings. It is highly recommended that you book early online so that we may staff accordingly.
AMENDED CHECK-IN PROCEDURES
Upon arrival at Escape the Netherworld, we ask that you call us from your car prior to entering the building. You may be asked to wait in your vehicle for a short time as we prepare for your check-in. As we strive to maintain social distancing in our lobby, groups may be asked to sit in a designated location after check-in while awaiting the start of their game. You will be asked to wash your hands prior to the start of your game.
Lockers for storing your belongings may not be in use at the time of your game. Given this, we ask that you leave most of your personal belongings locked in your vehicle, but you may now bring personal items that you do not wish to leave in the car (purses and cell phones for example) into the Escape game with you. Items brought into the game like cell phones and cameras, however, are not to be used during the game.
FACE COVERINGS & OTHER PPE
We require the use of face masks and/or face shields by our guests while in public areas of Escape the Netherworld. This includes but is not limited to the lobby, public bathrooms, outdoor picnic tables and benches. Hand sanitizer is available at several locations throughout the property, and disposable gloves may be available at your request.
CLEANING & DISINFECTING PROCEDURES
We have added extra measures to our already thorough cleaning regimen which includes disinfecting props, doorknobs and touch surfaces with high grade disinfectants. Each of our rooms is cleaned before and after each game. As appropriate, additionally cleaning procedures may include but are not limited to fogging the rooms with a non-toxic hospital grade disinfectant. The lobby, bathrooms and other public areas will also be disinfected regularly.
STAFF HEALTH & SAFETY
For the health and safety of our staff and our guests, employees will be wearing face coverings while interacting directly with each other and their groups. They may choose to wear additional PPE at their discretion including gloves and face shields. Staff members will have health screenings regularly which may include but are not limited to temperature checks and interviews about health and possible exposure, and will wash their hands regularly throughout their shift.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. If you are feeling ill, are exihibiting symptoms, or have had a possible exposure to the Coronavirus, please call us to reschedule your game.
ESCAPE THE NETHERWORLD AND LASER ADVENTURE ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
As a result of the ever-evolving developments of COVID-19, we have decided to temporarily close our Escape Rooms and Laser Arena. We will be monitoring the guidance of government and health officials to assess when best to reopen.
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A RESERVATION for either Escape The NetherWorld or Netherworld Laser Adventure, one of our friendly Game Masters will soon be reaching out to you in order to determine the best remedy for your given situation…be that keeping your game as scheduled, issuing a refund, giving a credit for future game play or taking a wait and see approach for reservations that are many weeks away.
This was a very difficult, but necessary decision. We have been taking appropriate and aggressive measures to keep our environment safe for employees and guests alike, but it has become clear that even more extreme measures are needed to help stem the coronavirus tide.
We do hope that this is only a short term hiatus and that we’ll all be able to return back to “normal” again sometime soon. In the meantime we’re be working on plans for our 5th Escape Room…stay tuned, stay safe, stay healthy.
